Florist Corner (the “Site” or “we”), we have adopted the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs) contained in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) (the Privacy Act). The NPPs govern the way in which we collect, use, disclose, store, secure and dispose of your Personal Information. This Privacy Policy outlines our ongoing obligations and practices in relation to the handling of your Personal Information collected when you visit or make a purchase on our site.

What is Personal Information & why do we collect it?
Personal Information is information or an opinion that identifies an individual.
We collect your Personal Information for the primary purpose of providing our products and services to you which includes: We use your personal information to provide our services to you, which includes: offering products for sale, processing payments, shipping and fulfilment of your order, and keeping you up to date on new products, services, and offers. We may also use your Personal Information for secondary purposes closely related to the primary purpose in circumstances where you would reasonably expect such use or disclosure.
Device information
- Examples of Personal Information collected: version of web browser, IP address, time zone, country of origin, cookie information, sites or products you view, search terms, and how you interact with the Site.
- Purpose of collection: to load the Site accurately for you and to perform analytics on Site usage to optimise our Site to better service our customers.
- Source of collection: Collected automatically when you access our Site using cookies, log files, web beacons, tags, or pixels.
- Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our processor Shopify and our email database processor Klaviyo.
Order information
- Examples of Personal Information collected: name, billing address, shipping address, payment information (including credit card numbers, Afterpay, PayPal, and bank transfer numbers), email address, and phone number.
- Purpose of collection: to provide products or services to you, to fulfil our contract, to process your payment information, arrange for shipping, and provide you with invoices and/or order confirmations, communicate with you, screen our orders for potential risk or fraud, and when in line with the preferences you have shared with us, provide you with information or advertising relating to our products or services.
- Source of collection: collected from you.
- Disclosure for a business purpose: shared with our processors Shopify, PayPal, Afterpay, GoPeople, and Australia Post.
Customer support information
- Examples of Personal Information collected: Gift card messages and delivery instructions relating to the receiver's address.
- Purpose of collection: to provide customer support to verify your identity
- Source of collection: collected from you.
- Disclosure for a business purpose: GoPeople and Australia Post for the purpose of delivering your order.
Behavioural Advertising
We use your Personal Information to provide you with targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you. For example:

How do you get my consent?
When you provide us with personal information to complete a transaction, verify your credit card, place an order, arrange for a delivery or return a purchase, we imply that you consent to our collecting it and using it for that specific reason only. If we ask for your personal information for a secondary reason, like marketing, we will either ask you directly for your expressed consent or provide you with an opportunity to say no.

Where is my Personal Information stored?
Our store is powered by Shopify Inc. They provide us with the online e-commerce platform that allows us to sell our products and services to you.
Your data is stored through Shopify’s data storage, databases and the general Shopify application. They store your data on a secure server behind a firewall.

Payment
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, then Shopify stores your credit card data. It is encrypted through the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS). Your purchase transaction data is stored only as long as is necessary to complete your purchase transaction. After that is complete, your purchase transaction information is deleted.
All direct payment gateways adhere to the standards set by PCI-DSS as managed by the PCI Security Standards Council, which is a joint effort of brands like Visa, MasterCard, American Express and Discover. PCI-DSS requirements help ensure the secure handling of credit card information by our store and its service providers.

Sharing Personal Information
In general, we share your Personal Information with third-party providers to use by us to help us fulfil our contract with you and will only collect, use and disclose your information to the extent necessary to allow them to perform the services they provide to us. Security
To protect your personal information, we take reasonable precautions and follow industry best practices to make sure it is not inappropriately lost, misused, accessed, disclosed, altered or destroyed. When your Personal Information is no longer needed for the purpose for which it was obtained, we will take reasonable steps to destroy or permanently de-identify your Personal Information. However, most of the Personal Information is or will be stored in client files which will be kept by us for a minimum of 7 years.
